Ubisoft puzzled over PS3 Assassin's Creed problems

Assassin's Creed may be getting a certain amount of flak from critics as being lacking in the gameplay department, but is it actually broken? Gamers who've purchased the ps3 video game certainly think so. Reports are circulating that the bug appears to cause Altair's animation to literally freeze – even if he's in the middle of the air or galloping along the ground. Though the recent patch helped alleviate freezing issues for some, other users are still reporting issues with the video game. Unfortunately, it appears that even Ubisoft doesn't know what's going on.
Ubisoft’s senior public-relations manager says Ubisoft is investigating the matter and is not exactly sure what’s causing the glitches. The company noted a drop in complaints once PS3 gamers noticed that turning off the automated login feature on the PlayStation Network, or PSN, reduced the number of crashes. Ubisoft is working on a patch for the problems using feedback from gamers and blogs, Beadle says.
While owning a ps3 console is great and there has never been a better time to own one it's still got problems like any other gaming platform but it's a little saddening when even the game developers don't know what's going on with their own video games.
